Today is our 3rd Wedding Anniversary.

This is also our last anniversary as a family of two. Come next year we’ll have a 5/6 month old baby!

Indeed. It’s a good week…always is. And it was great fun 3 years ago to celebrate my birthday at our rehearsal dinner, then getting to get married the next day!

Aww! I definitely teared up! (And you’re not alone… I just about didn’t get through my part of the vows audibly… and my Mom had to pass a hankie to my bridesmaid, who passed it to my maid of honor, who passed it to me while she was keeping my veil out of a candle. lol)

It was seriously the best cake I had ever put in my mouth. The middle layer was carrot cake….by far my favorite. And as you could probably guess, the top layer that we ate a year later was chocolate on chocolate…dark chocolate to the extreme. Mmm!

Happy anniversary! I LOVE your dress. And I love what appears to be the food: smoked meat! Earlier today I was moaning about the lack of smoked meat in Germany and then I come home to watch that video and see that big beautiful smoker. Yummy.
Anyway, you’re an adorable couple and I wish you many more happy years! I looked at your calculations page and it was really surprising. We were in a long distance relationship for two years and I thought that this was bad enough. Five is just crazy. But you made it! And now you’re having a baby. It’s all just so wonderful.

Aww, congratulations Kate! The second song is For My Father by Andy McKee on the Art of Motion album. Thank goodness for the Soundhound song identification app on my phone. Otherwise, I would have never know that.
