Pancakes for Fat Tuesday!

My parent’s raised me a Presbyterian (USA). Growing up, I was very active at church…I was confirmed in the church (became a member & professed my faith) and became our church’s first ordained youth elder. My mom even worked at the church (children’s director and director of the preschool)! Needless to say, I was at church a lot.

We would go to Tuesday night dinners every week before choir/handbell/ensemble practices. It was great! Every year, though, I always looked forward to the Pancake supper. It came around every year, the day before Ash Wednesday (the start of Lent…the Easter season). Fat Tuesday! πŸ˜€

So, I thought I’d give you an assortment of pancake recipes that I’ve made over the last year and a half for Pancake Tuesday! I hope you enjoy!

  1. These all look great! I have been using chickpea flour lately and love it! Did you grow up at Mt P Presbaterin (sp) I didn’t but my moms best friend went there and used to bring us to pancake dinners several years! Great memories

  2. I grew up Presbyterian too and always looked forward to the Fat Tuesday pancake feed. Last night I mentioned it to my husband and he thought I was nuts…I didn’t realize that it wasn’t something that happened across all denominations. Your list of pancakes is great, I want them all!
