So, I’ve officially hit the 3rd trimester (on Saturday)! I wasn’t able to get a 27 week photo because I was in Nashville for Blissdom. But, here’s how much the baby belly has grown in two weeks!
How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain: 8.5 pounds (after initial loss of 4 pounds: 12.5 pounds)
Maternity clothes? Yes and especially loving this maxi dress from Target.
Stretch marks? Barely.
Sleep: Eh, not so good still. It was nice (sorry honey) to sleep in a hotel bed alone. I wasn’t sagging towards my husband and dog and I could stretch out as much as I wanted to.
Best moment this week: Getting to see my family, some got to feel kicks, see kicks and just stare at the ever growing belly!
Miss Anything? Being able to paint my own toenails. Hello pedicures!
Movement: Definitely. They are getting more intense. The little bugger is punching and kicking like crazy!
Food cravings: Nothing too specific, but I definitely have my love of chocolate back. I want some every day! Ahh!
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Gender: It’s a surprise!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Sciatic nerve is still bothering me, but I’ve learned to lay off the walking and standing for too long so it doesn’t hurt as bad.
Belly Button in or out? It’s almost flat!
Wedding rings on or off? On, but getting tighter!
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’ve been happy this week.
Looking forward to: Going on our babymoon tomorrow!

You are just precious. I love reading your pregnancy journal. I have had three babies (9, 7, and almost 5) of my own, and I can tell you that you are embarking on a wonderful, amazing, joyful journey. We did not find out if we were having a boy or a girl the third time around, and it was so much fun. Good for you! Many blessings.
Caroline,
Have you ever considered trying chiropractic? My dad is a chiropractor, and he has had many patients who have had sciatic nerve problems, and been helped with chiropractic adjustments. Also chiropractic care during the pregnancy has also been shown to help with labor. I don’t know if you have already looked into this or not, but I thought I would suggest it, just in case. If you do try it, I hope it helps.
