- Date: July 31st, 2012
- Height: 23.5 inches
- Weight: 12 pounds 2 ounces
- Sleeping Pattern: Goes to sleep anywhere from 12pm-2am and sleeps for about 4-6 hours, wakes for an hour, then sleeps for another 3 hours.
- Eating Habits: Breastmilk only, every 2 hours during the day.
- Development: While holding him up, he can hold his own weight. More regular smiling.
- Mischief: He refuses to sleep in the afternoon-evening until he goes down at night, making him fussy.
- Cuteness: He smiles a lot when he first wakes up and then when you start talking in a very high pitched voice during the day.
- Talking: He’s started to make more noise during the day…almost trying to coo.
- Favorites: Staring at the fan while bouncing in our arms.
- Firsts: First smile on July 4th. He’s been smiling every morning since!
- Concerns: He’s developed cradle cap, so we’re brushing his hair and washing it with special shampoo daily.
- A Day in the Life: He wakes up in the morning around 7/8am, feeds and hangs out for about a hour. Smiles. Farts. He goes back to sleep for another 2/3 hours and is then up for the rest of the day with the exception of a few teeny tiny cat naps in between. He goes to sleep again for the night around 12-2am.

He could not be any cuter!
He sounds just like my last baby (who turned 1 on the 29th) smiles, not wanting to nap in the evening… He is adorable too! She also had cradle cap (when i introduced dairy back into my diet?) anyway… Someone told me to rub her head with coconut oil, let sit for a minute and then use a fine tooth comb and gently scrape it off. It worked so well. Her’s had built up for about 4 months so it took 2 tries, but I did it with a friend and her baby was much younger and it all came out pretty quickly. I never had to do it again! I did have to wash her hair a few times to get the oil out, but she smelled like coconut so it wasn’t too bad
Do you have a sling or carrier you can use in the afternoon? My daughter is 7 weeks and loves being in the carrier. If she is fussy due to being tired, it zonks her out in a few minutes, and I have two hands to get things done. That, plus a trip outside for a few minutes, usually does the trick.
You probably know this, but as soon as they yawn, they are tired and ready for a nap. I take that cue to get her swaddled or in the carrier to help her fall asleep. Hang in there -one day you will sleep again
Aww, I love that picture! He looks so happy.
But geez, he needs to sleep more. Hoping that happens soon!
My daughter (my 1st) was not a big napper at all either. But she started sleeping through the night at a very young age and I was okay with that trade off. Maybe Liam will start to do the same. He is so adorable. Congratulations!
