It’s here!

The Gizmodo contest you all helped my husband out with in December 2010, by voting for our Christmas photo, won, thanks to your help.

After a month of anticipation…

My husband didn’t let me run errands between the hours of 8am-8pm (unless someone was home) so that the package would be immediately be brought inside and cared for with love and tenderness. HA! We have had some people stealing packages off of doorsteps in our neighborhood recently, so I could see where he’s coming from. Needless to say, I’m running errands at a reasonable hour tomorrow. Yay! Freedom!…

because a package arrived yesterday…

Ahhhhh!

Engage freaking out commencement.

You should have seen the look on Logan’s face when he got home. He was so excited to open his new toy.

Then, he went to his man cave and I didn’t seen him for the rest of the evening. Surprise, surprise.

Well, here’s how it came to us! Logan insights in bold:

Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.

Google can be cutesy with their graphics and so they sent some bling!

An illustration on how the computer actually works.

Is it me, or is that box happy to see me?

Google’s light-hearted attitude doesn’t stop: another reminder of why they strike a chord with the creative crowd.

Soft, matte black finish. No logos, emblems or markings. I wish all computers came like this.

A neat feature is the removal of the CAPS LOCK key and replaced it with a handy search function. THIS WAY I WON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WRITING AN EMAIL WITH A TONE I DIDN’T WANT TO CONVEY!!

Yes, I’m excited about the future of computing. Thank you for your votes!

Thanks again for all of your help. You truly made my husband’s day week month year!
