My sweet, sweet husband decided to surprise me with a date to Saluda’s.
He even made me so proud and got a $25 off $50 coupon for the date too.
Proud Mrs. Couponer. 🙂
We were seated at 5:30pm (yes, we eat early), and we had the restaurant to ourselves (which was great because Brandon, our waiter, was very attentive on us).
We started off with a warm spinach salad. Let me tell you…I don’t eat bacon (and my husband trick-ly ordered it for us knowing this…and I died. It was incredible).
Then, we were promptly served our main course. Logan got the Filet Mignon. He loved it.
And I got the Pasta Du Jour. It was a sweet potato ravioli, with brown butter sage sauce, served with brussel spouts, spinach, fried onions, and diced sweet potatoes. Oh my. It was tasty…and I definitely didn’t even make a dent in it. So filling!
Over all, it was a superb evening. I wish that they had lingered a little longer when bringing our food out, because we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I just love the European notion of talking for hours between courses.
Oh well. Delicious food, fantastic company. Happy girl.
Can I have your leftover ravioli? That sounds like such an amazing dish!
They’re all yours! 😉
I love these photos!! And wonderful review–I’m glad you two enjoyed (what a great date night!).
P.S. My boyfriend and I are all about the Euro-style hours-long meals thing…restaurants probably hate us, but it’s the best. 🙂
sounds like a lovely night. you’d love to dine out with my husband + i — we sometimes take 2-3 hours at meals. i love a long, leisurely meal with a bunch of courses spread out. we’ll have to double date some time. =)
That sounds lovely! It’s a date! 🙂
