I love breakfast.
I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite meal…besides dessert. 😉
But, sometimes I just don’t feel like making it.
That’s where these oats come into play.
You simply put the three ingredients in the dish, put it in the crock pot, fill it with water and go to bed!
You wake up to wonderfully cooked oats with easy clean up!

I’ve never tried steel cut oats but I bet these will be a life saver when you are busy with a new baby!!
Totally what I was thinking. 😉
great idea! Like this!!
sounds mighty tasty + your pictures are lovely. happy monday! =)
This is a great idea! I rarely have the energy to make a proper breakfast in the morning despite it being my favourite meal of the day. I shall definitely be trying this!
What a great idea! I’ve made steel cut oats in the slow cooker before, but I just put everything in the big pot. It worked great, but the clean-up wasn’t so easy! I love the idea of using a smaller dish inside. I’ll have to give it a try!
That is a really smart idea!
Love how easy these are! Yum!
I’ve never thought about putting a smaller bowl inside the crockpot to make a single serving. Thanks for the idea!!
What a great idea. My hubby likes oatmeal but hates making it in the morning.
First of all, my mom and I are making this tomorrow. Second, I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award! I just love your blog! Check it out: http://binomialbaker.blogspot.com/2012/04/another-award.html
I also reently discovered the beauty of making steel cut oats in the crock pot. However, I hate breakfast, and this decision was more of a lifestyle change than a craving. Steel cut oats are the canvas on which to create breakfast art!
I tried this last night and it worked wonderfully! I’m not a huge oatmeal fan, but this was delicious. Thank you for sharing! 🙂
