Today, I’m revisiting a post that I did in the first few months of starting chocolate & carrots.Β It was a recipe for my grandmother’s famous and secret pimento cheese recipe.
The photos are awful and I’mΒ embarrassedΒ to even lead you over to that post to show you how bad they are. Β But, here ya are.
I guess it’s a good example of how much my photography has improved in a year and a half. So those of you who are still figuring it out, don’t give up! You can do it! π
And I must give a shout-out to my father-in-law, who has a birthday today. His favorite thing is my grandmother’s pimento cheese. He loves it so much, he’ll eat it by the spoonful. But, I must say…it isΒ that good. π Happy Birthday!
I love seeing where we all started with pictures. It’s really interesting to see the progression plus, there’s always a good giggle or cringe factor especially when looking at our own! π Now I feel the need for a thick sandwich for lunch!
I haven’t had a good pimento cheese sandwich in ages!
Annnd, I feel ya on the old pictures. I wonder what I was thinking way back when I would litter up the internet with some of the stuff I posted.
would you believe that, after 12 years in the South, i’ve still never tried pimiento cheese?! i’m pretty sure i’m going to be kicked out of tennessee soon if i don’t change that. =)
You totally need to change that. Be prepared for a little bit of spicy goodness! π
Can you believe I’ve NEVER had pimento cheese? And I live in the South!! Yours looks amazing…I definitely need to try it!!
Do what?!? You totally need to try it! This is a very good recipe too. Mmm!
looks amazing! I can’t believe it either
It sounds really yummy! Thanks for sharing the secret recipe (again!). π
I am seriously addicted to cheese! I’m literally making this when I get home from work tonight.
I know, right! Cheese is so tasty!
Yuuuum! Looks so good!
If you want to see bad, check out the pictures from when I first started!! I’ve actually started re-doing some of the pictures, but I’m keeping the old ones posted as well, just to always remember where I started!
I LOVE pimento cheese, and that sandwich is calling my name!
So true. I love seeing how far I’ve come!
I have so many horrible posts that I need to re-do. This sandwich is worth it, too, so glad you shared it again! I love pimento cheese!
What a fabulous testament to how far you’ve come with your photography, Caroline! This pimento cheese looks so delicious and super flavorful. I’ve never made it before but there’s no better time to try! Thanks for sharing.
Aww, thank you Georgia! π
Love it.
Certainly looks delicious and it’s definitely encouraging for those who are learning and trying to see how far you’ve come!!!
Thank you Rachel! π
I love seeing the old vs new photos! Gives me hope! π
I LOVE good pimento cheese sammich!
Girl, what are you talking about? You’re photos are great!
Wow! Looks great, and I love pimento cheese too! Happy Birthday to your dad!
Oh, you’re such an inspiration!! I just started a food blog about a month ago and I’m new to all of this, and it can be difficult when you have no idea how to take photos. You’re obviously doing very well for yourself, and I’ll never forget that I saw this down the road when I can hopefully one day take pics as well as you π P.S. I want to eat that!! Looks so delish!
Aww, thanks Rachael! Keep practicing! π
lol I have worse photos than that!!!!
Will have to try moms recipe, thanks.
