Crock Pot Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

First, let me just say that this was the easiest, moistest cake I’ve eaten.

Then, it landed on the floor.

What a day that was.

Liam was already giving me trouble, but luckily he was due for a nap when I was mrs. clumsy and dropped my super hot crock pot full of the delicious cake. To make things worse, we were due to show the house that night to a potential buyer. I knew I had to get the mess cleaned up and patch up and paint my drawer and oven that had been chipped from the massive crock pot falling 25 miles/hour, headed straight for the floor.

I did manage to salvage just enough for 1 bowl of unharmed, stoneware free cake to taste. The mess was cleaned up after a lot of work on my hands and knees, followed by 3 moppings and a vacuuming. And we showed the house, but they didn’t want to buy it (but were very nice).

Boo. I need more cake.

Moral of the story. When you make this cake, don’t try to be stupid and remove it from the crock pot. Just eat it straight out of the pot, cobbler-style.

P.S. Since then, I ordered a replacement stoneware for my crock pot. Much cheaper than buying a whole new one! πŸ˜€

  1. Oops…that actually sounds scary! So glad the only thing it hurt was the drawer and not you! Guess you’ll have to make it again so that you can enjoy the whole thing πŸ™‚

  2. Showing a house is hard enough without a baby and a kitchen disaster. What a rough day! I’m so glad it didn’t land on you. And the cake looks delicious.
