True&Co: The Future of Bra Shopping {Review}

True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com My new favorite way to shop for clothing is Stitch Fix. The convenience, especially for a momma, is amazing. Fill out a ‘style profile’ and you get clothing sent to your door. Similarly, I recently learned about True&Co, the easy way to go undergarment shopping (specifically bras, lingerie and panties).

The beautiful thing about True&Co is once you fill out the ‘style & body profile’, you get recommended items to choose from, to receive in your box. Then, experts choose a couple more items they think you’ll love! True&Co then sends you your bras and undergarments to try on at home, absolutely free of charge. You have 5 days to decide what to keep and send the rest back for free. You only pay for what you keep!

Unlike Stitch Fix, there’s no charge if you send everything back. Another advantage of True&Co is that you can purchase any of their products a la carte on their website like you would any other online shopping website.

Are you ready to see what I got in my first True&Co box?

SEDUCTIVE COMFORT True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com Seductive Comfort Purple Bra ($44) – This was one recommended based on body type that I try, so I picked out. I’m all about comfort and the name says it all. This bra was super comfortable and the padding adds extra vava-voom. However, the back rode up occasionally and there was one tiny spot on the back where the stitching bothered me. I’m really picky when it comes to comfort!

COLETTE True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com Colette Lacy Eggplant Bra ($58) -This bra is the second item that I picked out based on the results from body profile. The photos online made it look quite comfortable, however it was extremely itchy due to the lace and was tight around the band. I will say, the cups fit nicely. It was basically a pretty sports bra with zero support. Meh?

THE SWEETNESS OF BEING True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com The Sweetness of Being Red Bra ($44) – Another pick of mine, but it was more of a wild card for my taste. I was drawn to the color and the modern lace. I actually wore this bra on the 2nd clasp (I’m pretty sure it’s standard to wear it on the looses and 3rd clasp.). It was very sexy on, but the cups were too loose on me. Boo.

ZERO HOUR True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com Zero Hour Tank($64) and Far Above the War Shorts ($54) –  Yeah, not a fan. This shirt and short lingerie combo looked great on the model, but not on me. First of all, these are quite expensive for what they are (first strike). But, secondly, it just does not look good on short waisted or small busted women. i.e. me.

True&Co Review - Best Lace Thong Ever | chocolateandcarrots.com Best Lace Thong Ever ($16) – I’ve got to say, I’m a fan. Enough said.

CLAUDIA True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com Claudia Chemise ($45) –  This little lingerie-nighty number was so cute! The bottom was very soft and comfortable, but the top lace was itchy. The lace design down the sides really accentuates the body and made me feel skinny. I wasn’t a fan of the see-through-ness of the top, but it was husband approved. Just saying.

WE WERE VOODOO True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.com We Were Voodoo Corset-ish Bra ($48) – The experts sent this bra for me to try. I assumed I wouldn’t like it but was pleasantly surprised! It was very comfortable and flattened the back fat (yes, I said it) and hugged your torso in the right place. The cups fit nicely, but it was a little itchy in the back. I really liked it, but with thinking of the future, I decided against it in case of future pregnancies. Also, the husband not impressed…he said it covered too much skin. Pshhh.

DAY NO. 25 PUSHUP True&Co Review | chocolateandcarrots.comDay No. 25 Pushup Lacy Black Bra ($44) – Another push up bra that was a good fit, but lace was again itchy. I actually purchased a Maidenform bra recently that was very similar to this, but the inside was lined with the comfortable material, therefore the Maidenform wins and this bra goes back.

True&Co Bra Shopping Review | chocolateandcarrots.com

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with True&Co. The prices were very comparable to where I normally do my shopping (Victoria’s Secret and Belk) and I don’t have to drag Liam in and out of a dressing room with me for hours.

Now that I know how easy it is, I will definitely be trying it again. I ended up only keeping the panty this time, but was very close to purchasing that nighty and voodoo bra. If you get a chance, I would recommend trying it out! You can’t go wrong since it won’t cost you anything if you decide against keeping anything. Just saying.

This is not a sponsored post. I purchased the True&Co box by myself. This post does contain referral links for new sign-ups that gives me a small credit towards my next box because you want to make me more fashion forward, even underneath, right? Please read my disclosure policy for further information.

  1. Thanks so much!! I have trouble finding bras that fit and no time to go to the store, totally using your link!

  2. Great info without being too lengthy. Do they have any frequent buyer rewards or anything. I am such a sucker for those – too bad for me! I’ll check out their sizes as my size is tough to find in real world stores. Thanks again – if I use them I’ll go through your referral link and possibly blog (I’m a little more shy about that stuff, but you were so tasteful , well done!) or facebook about it! http://www.ibakeit.wordpress.com

    1. Thank you Rachel! I hope they have something wonderful for you. 😀 They do have referral links where you and a friend can each get $15 credit! 🙂 Happy Shopping!

  3. Umm — cautionary word here — I ordered and found that only 1 out of the 5 were comfortable. I kept the one and found out after wearing it [away from home] that the straps would not stay tightened. Something is wrong with the little buckle thingies. True and Co. will not allow a return now [of this $45 bra] because it is passed the 5 days and has been worn. Quite the loss for me!

    1. I reached out to True&Co about your issue and this is what they said: “We allow returns of unworn items for up to 30 days. If the bra is malfunctioning, we offer full refunds–we just ask for a photo. In this case, the issue is a hard thing to capture, but we believe the customer and understand that hardware can fail at its job. Please tell your reader to contact us at hello@trueandco.com regarding this issue and our customer service representatives will be happy to help her out.” I hope that helps! I’ve had nothing but great experiences with True&Co so far. I hope you get another chance to try it out. Let me know if I can help in any other way!
