An easy baby formula travel tip for easy bottle making on the go!
I’ve travel a lot with my kids when they are little. I find it quite pleasurable to take them on trips with me since I can carry them and they get oodles of ‘Aww’s and ‘Adorable!’s. Come to think of it, I thought the word on the street was that New Yorkers were mean, but with a baby in tow (while it may have been a complete coincidence) everyone we encountered was a joy!
Okay, back to the subject at hand. While I love the compactness of the formula brand’s on-the-go packages of baby formula, I always found them very hard to open when I needed them most…always without scissors since I was traveling. Also, they are more expensive. I know they make containers with a few compartments to put baby formula in for this exact purpose, but they aren’t as compact.
In lieu of all of those options, I opted for using breast milk containers to store pre-measured amounts of formula. The containers are dishwasher friendly or can even be boiled on the stove. Once you let them completely air dry, you can fill them with the desired amount of formula. I pre-filled them and threw them in my diaper bag and luggage!
When it came to bottle time while on the go, I simply unscrew the container and pour it straight into the bottle of water! Easy peasy, happy baby.

We actually use the popcicle ziplock type bags! They work perfectly! And they don’t take up a lot of room in your diaper bag!
This was a great tip! I don’t know why I didn’t think about that but I’m so happy I read this today! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! Once I did it, I couldn’t believe I didn’t do it sooner!
